Drupal 8.1.0 RC1 Is Available for Testing

"The first release candidate for the upcoming Drupal 8.1.0 release is now available for testing. With Drupal 8, we made major changes in our release process, adopting semantic versioning and scheduled releases. This allows us to make significant improvements to Drupal 8 in a timely fashion while still providing backwards compatibility. Drupal 8.1.0 will be the first such update, expected to be released April 20."

Thunder, a Drupal Distribution for Publishers

This month, "the international media group Hubert Burda Media (about 2.5 billion annual revenue, more than 10,000 employees, and more than 300 titles) released its Drupal 8 distribution, Thunder." It's very interesting to see this type of project come out of the media instead of a Drupal agency as we have seen before. It's also promising to see a high profile Drupal 8 distribution coming to life.

Without the improvements delivered by Drupal 8 it'd be hard to leverage Mink, PhantomJS and PHPUnit to run our tests, and without the new DrupalCI infrastructure we'd have nowhere to run the tests"

Automated Git Deployments for the Rest of Us!

Nathan Kirschbaum has been a part of the Drupal community for about 6 years now, and has been involved in the Laravel community for a little less than half that time.
