It's been a crazy week with developments on the Drupal 8 front and a lot of conversations about sexism at DrupalCons. On a personal note, I've been very busy working on a Drupal product called Open Association for 59DaysOfCode, a local hacker competition. I will be sharing more details about this project over the next couple weeks. If you would like to show your support sign up on the Open Association web site.

In this post John Robert of Phase2 shows how you can extend the State Flow module included in the State Machine module to build a costume content workflow. I'm using State Machine/State Flow on a project right now and creating your own workflow is really quite painless. Declaring new states, events and permissions is pretty straightforward. I highly recommend State Machine module if you need a custom workflow.
